The Roland VersaOBJECT IO-300 is a purpose-built industrial UV flatbed printer designed for repeatable, high-quality printing on products, parts, components and rigid substrates. Its B2-class platform combines a maximum 30.3" x 20.2" printing area with support for objects up to 8" thick, giving businesses the flexibility to produce everything from industrial components and electronics to premium packaging, promotional products and customized consumer goods.
Built around a rigid chassis, precision ball-screw movement and new staggered industrial printheads, the IO-300 is engineered for consistent registration, crisp fine text, vibrant color and dependable repeatability across demanding production runs.
The IO-300 uses four new Gen 6 industrial printheads arranged in a staggered configuration. Higher firing frequency, smaller droplet capability and enhanced durability help deliver faster production, high-definition image quality and dependable long-term operation.
The dual staggered architecture also enables Primer > CMYK printing in a single pass, reducing unnecessary carriage movement while improving efficiency when printing on substrates that benefit from additional adhesion.
A generous flatbed and adjustable object clearance allow the IO-300 to print directly on a wide range of products and rigid materials. The printer accommodates objects up to 31.4" wide x 21.4" long, up to 8" thick and weighing as much as 44 lb.
This versatility makes the IO-300 an excellent solution for industrial components, electronics, packaging, promotional items, signage, leather goods and premium customized products.
The IO-300 uses Roland EUV-H UV inks supplied in high-capacity 750ml pouches. EUV-H inks provide excellent durability and adhesion on a wide range of materials, including challenging low-surface-energy substrates.
Available configurations allow businesses to prioritize specialty printing capabilities or high-volume CMYK production.
EUV-H inks are GREENGUARD Gold certified for low VOC emissions.
The integrated vacuum table helps securely hold substrates and fixtures across the printing surface, while built-in media alignment pins simplify positioning and repeatable origin setup. For heavy objects that remain stable without vacuum assistance, the vacuum system can be disengaged from the control panel.
A rigid chassis and ball-screw mechanism provide precise table movement and stable operation for repeatable production results.
The VersaOBJECT IO-300 delivers print resolution up to 1,800 dpi for fine graphics, small text, variable data and detailed industrial decoration. A powerful built-in UV-LED curing system cures ink quickly while maintaining high-definition output and efficient production.
A 7-inch color touchscreen provides at-a-glance access to printer status, media setup, consumable levels and maintenance notifications. The integrated status light also allows operators to quickly identify whether the printer is running, ready, paused or requires attention.
The View function allows a paused job to move forward for inspection of print quality and alignment before production resumes from the paused position.
An optional non-contact laser sensor can automatically measure media height without touching the object, making setup faster and helping improve accuracy for precision applications.
An optional rotary axis expands the IO-300 into cylindrical direct-to-object printing. Using the compatible rotary unit and required IO-300 mounting plate, cylindrical items up to approximately 4.5" in diameter can be decorated with simultaneous White > CMYK printing capability.
The IO-300 is designed as part of Roland DG's connected production ecosystem. Included VersaWorks 7 RIP software supports efficient job processing and spot-color workflows, while Roland DG Connect provides remote printer management, diagnostics, maintenance tools and production insights.
Additional workflow tools including PrintAutoMate, Object Designer and Direct Print can help streamline fixture design, job preparation and production management for repeat applications.
The IO-300 combines industrial precision, substantial object clearance and advanced UV printing capabilities in a versatile B2-class flatbed platform.
