The Roland TrueVis MG2-300 30" UV LED Printer/Cutter brings next-generation productivity, premium UV effects and integrated contour cutting to a compact 30-inch platform. Designed for sign shops, print providers, label producers and graphics businesses looking to create higher-value work, the MG2-300 combines vibrant UV printing, specialty effects and precision cutting in one streamlined production workflow.
Building on Roland DG's proven MG platform, the new MG2 Series introduces newly developed printheads and advanced waveform control technology to deliver approximately twice the productivity of the previous MG Series while maintaining the exceptional image quality expected from TrueVis.
The MG2-300 produces vibrant graphics, smooth gradients, fine details and premium special effects at resolutions up to 1,800 dpi. Improved ink placement accuracy, Variable Dot Technology and Roland DG's True Rich Color print settings help deliver consistent, professional results across a wide range of applications.
Optional Red and Orange inks expand the achievable color gamut beyond standard CMYK, helping reproduce more brand colors accurately while providing broader Pantone coverage and richer, more impactful output.
Take UV graphics beyond conventional printing with up to five ink layers produced in a single pass. The MG2-300 can create premium textures, White underprints, reverse-printed graphics and spot Gloss effects while reducing the need to feed media backward between layers.
Single-pass multi-layer production improves registration accuracy, reduces production time and helps minimize the risk of media misalignment or jams when producing sophisticated layered UV graphics.
Roland DG's integrated print-and-cut technology allows the MG2-300 to print and precision contour cut graphics in one seamless workflow. Produce everything from a single custom decal to thousands of professionally finished labels without moving the job to a separate finishing device.
Cutting speeds range from 0.39 to 11.8 in./sec with blade force from 30 to 500 gf, providing clean and repeatable results for detailed graphics and complex contours.
The MG2 Series uses Roland EUV5EPI UV inks in high-capacity 1,000 mL pouches. The larger ink format reduces the frequency of ink changes during longer production runs and can reduce running costs by up to 40% compared with previous 500 mL configurations.
Available configurations combine CMYK process colors with optional high-opacity White, Gloss, Orange and Red inks, allowing businesses to configure the MG2-300 around their preferred balance of color gamut, specialty effects and production requirements.
The MG2-300 incorporates intelligent automation throughout the production workflow. Automatic media setup and calibration help minimize setup time, while Direct Print functionality allows operators to execute printing tasks directly from the printer's intuitive 7-inch touchscreen.
An improved media take-up system helps keep material controlled during print-and-cut workflows, while enhanced maintenance features help maintain consistent print quality and reduce routine operator intervention.
The MG2-300 includes Roland VersaWorks 7, providing intuitive job management, advanced color tools and powerful production controls. The Roland TrueVis MG2 Series is backed by Roland DGA customer service and support and includes a one-year manufacturer's warranty. Registration within 60 days of purchase and exclusive, continuous use of Roland DGA-approved inks are required to qualify for warranty coverage.
